arthur’s circus is a sweet little treasure trove in unassuming queensbury st, north melbourne. its like the coolest, most perfectly curated garage-sale-from-heaven you could ever dream of! let’s let some pictures do the talking, shall we?

aside from vintage toys, books/ephemera and homewares, arthur’s circus also stocks new things with a vintage flavour! like paumes interior books, art prints (by the talented likes of yee-haw, gary taxali, aurélie guillerey and their own sweet photographed toy vignettes) paper-goods, brooches, and softies and cushions from vintage fabrics. for more pictures from my visit, take a look on my flickr

Oh Wow! We had that stovetop when I was a kid. I can’t believe the memories that it is bringing back. – It was one of my favourite toys. Thanks for sharing!
Hey Pilgrim,
Greg, Alix/Alex/Galexie Girl’s husband here. I wanted to thank you for the wonderful gift and your overall generosity. Your kindness is fetching. Thank again.
You give the Web a good name, opposed to giving love a bad name.

oh my gosh that stove! i must have had it at school or a baby sitter’s because that photo so vividly and instantly brought back a memory of pushing in the hot plate over and over to make the red pop up! not exactly the right thing to be teaching kids! haha. what an amazing store. i can’t believe i lived in melbourne for five years and never knew of it, and i used to work on queensbury street!
well you have some lost time to make up for! quick get down there and shop hehe
