so when all the guests have gone home, and the last slice of cake has been eaten, you know what you have to do – write a nice thank you note to everyone who came or sent a gift. its good manners and everyone loves getting mail that isn’t a bill. so download, print and write something nice. you could even send them in the envelopes i created earlier this month.

who doesn’t love favour bags?! they’re presents for you when it isn’t even your birthday party. today’s free printable should delight you as much as it delights your guests. just print, cut, glue, fill with treats and tie it closed with some pretty ribbon! ta da: favour bags to match your perfect pinwheel party.

my favourite treats would be: some mixed candy, a balloon, some bubble mix, and a little toy, eraser or charm! what would you like in your favour bag?

welcome to the final week of birthday month, we’re on the home stretch now. today’s printable is some place cards, to help show your guests where to sit. this design is tiny bit more effort than just a foldable card, you’ll need a scalpal/craft knife to cut along the lines around the top of the pinwheel so it stands up when folded. just a little extra special detail! i hope you like it.

another place setting idea could be to use the patterned provided for the pinwheel, and the envelope seals to make napkin rings.

honey joys

excuse the poor photo, its from a couple of years ago and was taken with ye olde grainy camera.

yum! honey joys are another classic australian party snack. these are deliciously crunchy and honey-y not to mention super easy to make! the ingredients you may even have in your cupboard right now. and if you do, you should make some of these immediately. every day needs a bit of ‘joy’ in it right?

you’ve played pin the tail on the donkey, now play pin the pinwheel… on the pinwheel! now with added pinwheels! (i get $1 every time i say pinwheel)

there are two parts to this printable : the sheet that you pin things onto will need to be printed A3 and then the pinwheel shapes to stick on to theA3 page can be printed on A4 (there’s 2 to a page)

do you know how to play? players take turns to be blindfolded (& turned around a few times to make them a little extra disorientated) and then try to pin their pinwheel as close to the empty pinwheel stick as they can. whoever’s pinwheel shape is stuck closest, wins. if you want to use small thumb tacks or map pins it would be best to pin this to a cork board or piece of corrugated cardboard otherwise, use double sided tape or blue-tack.

last year my son was crazy about alice in wonderland, so for his third birthday he asked for an ‘alice in wonderland’ themed party. we played “pin the grin on the cheshire cat”. click here to see pictures! its a good game for fitting into any theme, really.
