today i thought i’d share with you, and address some of the results from the survey i ran a couple of months ago. i really appreciate everyone who took part, there were so many well though through answers, and it was fascinating to see who you are, what you like and what you want more of!
who are draw! pilgrim readers?
well, from 150 people surveyed, only one GUY answered! so, hello to you sir. and ladies, it all seems you’re pretty much just like me , aged 20-30 with a kiddo or two. most of you own your own house and are extremely attractive (the last bit i’m just guesstimating).

the chart above shows where surveyed readers live. the majority of draw pilgrim.com readers found me through another blog or via print media, so thank you to everyone who has featured me or my work, i truly appreciate it!

what do you want from me?
as well as asking your favorite regular features i collected answers for other things you’d like to see me blog
the #1 most popular request
was more DIY and printables. this one is tough, i know how popular these post are, but i can’t do anymore than i already do. my time is in short supply – i have a family, i work 3 days in a shop, i run my own business and freelance. the DIY and printables i do are just as much for my enjoyment as they are for yours, but i really don’t have the time to do more. the DIY can be especially time consuming, and while that time spent on a DIY post can generate lots of traffic, that traffic doesn’t necessarily convert to sales in my shop as much as you’d hope. i don’t want to be a money hungry crazy lady, but the rents are too damn high etc and thats just the reality of it. i’m not complaining, just explaining that people swingin’ by for a freebie aren’t the same awesome people who i see returning time and time again as shop customers.
#2 most popular request
was to see more of my house! i do have some fresher house tour pics to share with you soon, but thats it! i’ve run outta rooms! i need to build some secret antechambers and basements and stuff. leave a comment if there are specific things you want to see (in the rooms i currently own)
#3 most popular request
was more about ME. so i will happily talk and talk and talk more about me over the coming year. you’ll get to know me so well you’ll wish you’d never asked.
once again, thanks to those of you who spared a couple of minutes and participated.

wising all of my readers a wonderful holiday season. this year has been a great year for me and i can’t wait for 2012 and the changes it will bring – my son is starting school, my business is getting a kick in the pants and i’m working an extra day at the wonderful shop little sparrow!
thank you to everyone who read, commented, downloaded, participated in my survey and purchased one of my products! take care and enjoy the festive season.
lots of love and egg nog

calling all fascinating businesses!
drawpilgrim.com is now taking advertisers.
are you offering something colorful, unique, or superbly vintage? speak up!
take a goosey gander at all the information on the advertising page and get in touch with me. ads go up november 1st and you know its gonna be good!
quick! put the kettle on, sweep up the crumbs, hide those old news papers, turn that pile of empty pizza boxes into an impromptu side table and for gawd’s sake put a table cloth over it! – we’re having guests!
for the next few weeks while i’m on the road i have some of my fab friends helping out – and i mean FAB. the posts coming up will boggle your mind and twitterpate your heart. there will be enviable collections, vintage treasures, adorable DIY and so much more. i can’t believe i’m so lucky to have such awesomely cool and generous friends and i think you’ll love what they share here.
in other blogtacular news, drawpilgrim.com is following a different format in 2011. i have decided to cut posts down to 3 times a week. i love blogging so much that it distracts me from my actual work, and until i have fully established my empire i can’t afford to dedicate as much time to bloggy pursuits as i want to. (unless you each want to send me $5 for each post you read. do you want to do that? no?)
with 3 posts a week i hope to deliver all killer, no filler stuff to delight your senses. and if you miss me you can always catch me on twitter, bookface and pinterest. and if you want me to return to 5-day a week blogging then i suggest you stop by my store and pick up a few things to fund my return to full time blogging lifestyle haha
happy first of december! christmas is just a couple of weeks away so to get in the spirit i’ve given the site a festive makeover. click through if you’re in a rss reader and tell me what you think. i’m pleased to say the bulk of my christmas shopping is done and the rest i’m hoping to knock off in no time at all. our tree is yet to come though – i have to wait until after a photographer has visited before i get all out crazy-christmas style!
and speaking of christmas, i was honoured to participate in kara haupt’s christmas print project. you can help too by purchasing one of the 4×6 inch prints for $6 or you could go for the whole package of 5 prints for $24. all profits will go the the mercy house, a six-bed maternity home for pregnant girls and staff on the outskirts of nairobi, kenya. share some fab art & the festive spirit! everyone wins.
also, if you’re in the market for an advent calendar, might i remind you about the groovy one i made for toffee magazine? download toffee, print and paste together! could it get any easier?! me thunk snot!
and lastly, a final reminder about my online yard sale. i’ll be closing my yard sale at 12am melbourne time on sunday the 5th. other sellers may still be participating so don’t forget to stop by the ‘yards’ to check out some of the thrifty potential xmas presents on offer:
